1) why
do you use baking goods in your artwork
2) are
any of the artworks completely edible
3) do
you create the crystals that are in the background of some of your projects
4) what
do the laundry and shirts represent
5) aren’t
some of the powder projects ruined easily and more short term
Observations
·
There is a feminine feel to your work
·
Are the crystals that you use part of your
spiritual beliefs or you just like the look of them
·
The projects are all something of a homemaker,
the baking goods and the firewood and things that you would fine in the house
·
I really like the use of the frosting and think
that it’s unique and interesting
·
The projects have a type of flow. More than
sharp objects and rugged edges everything kind of flows and seems gentile
5 Questions and observations Jason Hackett-
Why did you get a bachelor of science if you are a ceramics artist ?What is your favorite piece you have ever done?
Who is the couple in the plates that you created?
Is that a photo or painting?
Do love to create the color and the design of the piece, or the shape and the more physical part more before moving on to the design on the piece.
You do many different types of pieces weather it is plates or figures etc.
The masked ceramic figure reminds me of daft punk.
Many plates are used, do you use them ever or they are just art.
There are a lot of damaged or looking damaged pieces.
The pieces are all unique and very original, I have not seen many pieces that are similar.

In this picture you literally see isles, shelves, food and households items. The isles are set up like a grocery store or supermarket stocked with typical items you would find in a marketplace. There are also two people shopping in the picture. This picture makes us feel overwhelmed and that the store is chaotic. It feels chaotic because there are so many different brands for the same types of items. For example there are 9 different brands of cat food on these shelves that seems excessive when all cat foods do the same thing, feed cats. We don’t know where to look in the picture because there is no focal point. Before and after this picture items may have been taken off the shelf to be bought. People were shopping before and after this picture we would assume. Also by the end of the day the stores shelves probably look a little less chaotic because items are bought, but than the shelves are restocked with items again. We think this photo is trying to say that we have too many competing brands that do exactly the same job in society today. We also feel that it shows how people overindulge because the store feels that it needs to have that many items on the shelf because people will buy that much stuff.

Observation -
The website at first glace looks like a gym website or something other than an artist
On the left side It looks like you should be able to click the parts for example where it says locating obscurity and photography now.
It is not clear that those are dates rather than a link
I think that the links on top of the page are too small and people may look past them
The title of the artist in the top left corner does not read easily to be. I almost read it as Tim Roda if I had to take a guess
Questions- why is the face on that man cropped as a boys face?
Who is the boy whose face was inserted into the picture?
Where is the “Watermill”?
Why is there so many children featured in the work

5 Questions and Observations for Ryan Horvath
Do you prefer sculpture or photography?
Who made the apple pie in your photograph?
What was in your Games of Antiquity exhibition in NYC?
Which award you’ve been given are you most proud of?
What has been your favorite job?
I noticed that there was a lot of nature in your work.
I like how the photographs are not edited, for example the eagle, it looks like it was just good timing to get a really cool shot.
The sculptures to me are very simple when you first look at it, for example the cane or feet, but they have an understated meaning and it isn't just a plain old cane.
I noticed that you would use two of the same objects or ideas, but make 2 totally different pieces of work out of them.
I noticed how the sizing of the photographs all differ and they seem to get smaller as you keep going on the webpage.
